Mr. Assimwe Is the Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Chamber of Energy and Minerals (UCEM). The Uganda Chamber is a not-for-profit, Member-based voluntary organization that represents the interests of private sector players in the energy and extractive sectors in Uganda. UCEM exists for advocacy, capacity building, and networking as well as providing well researched information about the country’s extractive sector. Humphrey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Makerere University and a Master’s Degree in Management – Human Resources from Uganda Management Institute. Humphrey served in the private sector where he was a logistics service provider for the extractive sector. He is a visionary leader with a management philosophy that emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and excellence. Humphrey is a Board Member of Uganda Freight Forwarders Association and East African Community Authorised Economic Operators Association.
