Alex Madolo is an experienced banking professional with a deep passion for agriculture finance, serving as the sector Head of Agriculture at DFCU Bank. With a rich background in both the financial services industry and agriculture, Alex is dedicated to driving innovative financial solutions that support the growth and sustainability of the agriculture sector.
Prior to his appointment at DFCU, Alex worked with Amos Diaries Limited, Enza Zaden, Barclays Bank Uganda Limited, Absa Bank Uganda Limited and Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited.
Over the course of his career, he has developed a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing the various actors in the agriculture sector.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Makerere University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Agriculture Risk Management and Finance from the Uganda Institute of Banking & Financial Services and currently is a candidate for the master’s in business administration from Manipal University, India.
He is a visiting lecturer of Agriculture Finance at the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial services and has several research articles in agriculture finance published.
With a forward-looking approach, Alex has pioneered inniatives that leverage technology to drive efficiency, sustainability and innovation within the sector as it navigates its challenges from climate change to global market trends and continue to change the future of agricultural finance with expertise and leadership.
