Yvonne’s professional career started in 1997 in the Netherlands, where she worked as a freelance journalist after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the Academy for Journalism and Communications, Tilburg, and briefly at Rabobank Nederland Headquarters. She moved to Kenya in 2002. With her career in Kenya spanning close to 25 years, she has worked for various local and Dutch owned businesses (including the Dutch School in Nairobi) in sales, marketing, operations, and finance, and ran her own business in Marketing and Expositions. In 2022, she became General Manager of the Netherlands Business Hub Kenya and has since led the organization to now almost 90 members and a large footprint among Dutch business. She is a founding member of EuroCham Kenya.
