Mr. Mugo was appointed Acting Director, Bank Supervision on October 7, 2024. He is responsible for development and implementation of policies and frameworks to maintain the safety, soundness and integrity of institutions licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). He has held various positions in the Bank Supervision Department over the last 24 years, most recently as Deputy Director since August 2009.
