Professor Amon Murwira is currently serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, following his tenure as Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development (2017–2024). A specialist in Geographic Information Science, he holds a PhD in the field and has published extensively on environmental systems, land use, and remote sensing. Prior to his ministerial roles, he was a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe. In government, he has been instrumental in driving education reform and promoting science, technology, and innovation to support Zimbabwe’s development goals.
