David Izzo is Deputy Director of Economic Diplomacy at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. A senior diplomatic adviser, his career has taken him to Chad, Brazil, Guatemala, Colombia and Ecuador. He has received two medals of honour for foreign affairs (bronze in 2006 and silver in 2008). He served as ambassador to San Salvador and Maputo before being appointed Deputy Director of Central Administration. He is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies and the College of Europe in Bruges
