In his capacity of Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of the Federation of West Africa Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI), Ambassador AMINOU AKADIRI is Expert in Private Sector Development and Promotion with many years’ experiences in regional and continental economic integration especially in the creation of community enterprise and cross border investment. Ambassador AMINOU AKADIRI is responsible for: • enhancing the participation of west African private sector in the regional economic integration process by organizing sensitization and training session on ECOWAS Protocol and Policies in National Chambers of Commerce; • sharing of the West Africa business community vision and proposals to boost trade and investments at ministerial and Head of States levels; • facilitating negotiations/implementation of regional and international trade agreements as well as promoting the development of an efficient privatesector through the provision of business support services and capacity building and contributing to the objective of making the region the preferreddestination for investors; • supporting joint-ventures and co-enterprises creation in ECOWAS industrial strategy in agroindustry, pharmaceutical, transport and automotive, construction and building materials. In the past, he served as Consultant and Expert at the ECOWAS Commission for drafting the ECOWAS policies and protocols on Agriculture, Industry, investment and competition, payment system and guarantee mechanism and quality system. He is also Vice President of Francophone South-South and Tripartite cooperation Network (RAFSUD) as well as Member of Board and Vice President of Africa Caribbean and Pacific (OEACP) Business Forum.
