Sonia Toro is the Executive Director of the EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce (EUACC) since 2022. Based between Brussels and Abidjan, she leads the transformation of the organization into a strategic platform dedicated to mobilizing investment, fostering private sector development, and strengthening economic cooperation between Africa, Europe, and international partners.
Aa a specialist in public affairs, governance, and impact strategies, she has led several structuring initiatives, particularly in the areas of ESG, EU-Africa institutional dialogue, and the development of investment mechanisms aimed at supporting the growth of the African private sector. She also plays a central role in consolidating the institutional anchoring and financial sustainability of the maritime project YARIS, while supporting the progressive strengthening of the Yaoundé Architecture’s capacities in maritime security and cooperation.
Through her leadership, Sonia Toro works to position the EUACC as a reference actor for economic integration and the international competitiveness of African businesses. A mother of four, she combines professional commitment with social engagement, driven by a strong conviction: to help build lasting bridges between continents and opportunities.
