I am a German and Nigerian Dual Citizen. I am trained as a Mechanical and Automotive Engineer with 40 years’ experience in the Automotive and Railway industries. In the automotive field, I spent 13 years’ employed as a development engineer by the OEM Ford in the United Kingdom, Germany and the US. In a supervisory role, I lead Vehicle Integration of the C1 Platform which produced the 2004 MY Ford Focus C-Max, Mazda 3, and Volvo S40/V50 & 2005 MY Ford Focus and Mazda 5 vehicles. Thereafter I spent 20 years as a Program Manager in the automotive supply chain, leading Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers in the development of components and systems for OEM new vehicle programmes. I have also been awarded a current EU Patent for high thermal efficiency, low emission internal combustion engines. In the railway field I worked on the repair and maintenance of diesel locomotives and carriages at the repair workshops of the Nigeria Railway Corporation in Lagos. Thereafter, I was Technical Officer at the British Rail electric locomotive repair workshops at Stratford, London. In the US, I was a Quality Inspector for the assembly of signalling equipment supplied to a Boston Metro line project. I also planned the West Africa Route Alignment for a proposed trans African high-speed railway project, similar to the African Integrated High Speed Railway Network (AIHSRN) of the AU’s Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA). My aims are: 1. To develop partnerships between EU and African businesses for the development and manufacture of high volumes of low emission vehicles on the African continent, in order to preclude further global emissions from the anticipated growth of vehicle ownership on the African continent in the next 25 years towards 2050. 2. To collaborate with EU and African Governments and PIDA in the planning, development and implementation of the railway projects of the African Integrated Railway Network of the AU’s Agenda 2063.
