I am a Partner at Kukula Capital, a leading Zambian private investment and advisory firm that bridges the gap between capital and opportunity in Southern Africa. In my current role, I co-lead the firm’s corporate finance advisory practice and provide business development support to corporates and SMEs across key sectors including agriculture, real estate, energy, and manufacturing. My work focuses on structuring transactions that catalyse growth, attract institutional capital, and promote sustainable private-sector development in Zambia. I began my career in the United Kingdom with Lloyds Banking Group, where I worked within the Insurance and Wealth Management division, gaining foundational experience in risk management. I later joined Portfolio Recovery Associates (PRA Group) as part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for its European operations, where I was responsible for group budgeting and performance management across 13 countries with revenues exceeding USD 600 million. Following this, I joined Kepler Cheuvreux, one of Europe’s leading independent investment banks, as an Equity Analyst within the Nordic Financials research team. In that role, I contributed to equity coverage of banks and insurers with a combined market capitalisation of approximately USD 190 billion, developing deep expertise in valuation, sector fundamentals, and capital market dynamics. After moving back home to Zambia in 2022, I joined Kukula Capital, where I have advised on a wide range of transactional and strategic mandates - including equity and debt capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions, and structured finance transactions for both private and listed entities. Our team has been instrumental in supporting several growth-stage businesses to access institutional investment , while also helping larger corporates strengthen their capital structures and investor readiness. My professional interests lie at the intersection of private capital mobilisation, SME growth, and sustainable development finance, with a focus on unlocking regional investment flows to drive inclusive economic growth. I am fortunate to frequently engage with institutional investors, DFIs, and regulators on initiatives aimed at deepening Zambia’s capital markets and promoting responsible investment. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Durham University (UK) and brings a combination of international financial-market experience and local investment expertise to my current work.
