Eng. Golden Makayi has over 28 years of working experience both in the Public and Private Sectors particularly successfully managing agribusiness, highways construction, building construction, structural engineering, water and wastewater engineering and energy projects. He is a seasoned Regulator having spent 12 years of his working life in the Regulation Sector. He has exposure both locally and internationally. Currently, Eng. Makayi is the Project Manager at the Zambia Agribusiness and Trade Project II, the Project he joined in November 2018. He, working with his team in managed to turn around the performance of the first Phase of the Project (US$40 Million) to one of the best performing Projects under the World Bank portfolio. Based on that performance, the Government and the World Bank could not but moot another US$170 Million Project which is currently under implementation. Eng. Makayi is a Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ), Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). Eng. Golden Makayi holds a Master of Science in Project Management, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Diploma in Civil Engineering and several Certificates awarded locally and internationally. He is also a Project, Risk and Quality Management Practitioner.
