Mr. Tobias Musonda is Director, Policy and Planning at the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development. With more than twenty (20) years experience in the public sector, overseeing among others, policy and regulatory formulation, monitoring and evaluation of public sector policies such as mineral and petroleum resources, Mr. Musonda’s expertise and experience is in management, business, economics and law. He has played a pivotal role in the ambitious policy, institutional and legal reforms taking place in the Zambia ’s mining sector which are meant to stimulate investment in exploration and mining, aimed at making Zambia an investment hub in order to attain the annual target of 3 million tonnes of copper production by 2031 as set by Government, such a the new ESG framework.
