Her extensive experience in project management, combined with her engagement with private sector actors, development partners, and learning institutions, has enabled her to lead impactful initiatives that enhance community literacy, especially in underserved areas. Mary has consistently championed talent and leadership development for C-suite women, marginalized youth, and women in informal sectors. She has advanced vocational education and training (TVET), promoted dual training models, supported the establishment of educational institutions, and strengthened skills development programs tailored to the continent’s evolving workforce needs. In her current role at the African Union Development Agency – NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD), Mary contributes to strategic efforts to strengthen skills development ecosystems and forge deep partnerships with the government, private sector and international development agencies. Her work ensures that education and training systems, particularly TVET, align with the future of work and contribute to decent job creation across Africa. A passionate advocate for STEM education, Mary lead the Girls’ Initiative, a mentorship program that connects young girls with inspiring women role models in science and technology.
