About me

Brian Mlondi Dlamini is from the Kingdom of Eswatini and holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Eswatini (formerly the University of Swaziland). With over 10 years of experience in the engineering field, he began his career at the Eswatini Electricity Company and has been serving as the Planning Engineer at the Southern African Power Pool since 2017. In this role, he is responsible for planning generation and transmission systems, conducting technical and economic studies for future grid additions, evaluating the impact of upcoming projects, monitoring transactions between operating members, determining power transfer limits for interconnected systems, and developing Transmission Pricing and Ancillary Services Methodologies. He also serves as the secretariat for the SAPP Planning Subcommittee, Generation Planning Working Group and Integrated Demand Management Working Group.
