Founder & CEO of GLS Inc., a Liberian company that operates a 25-year concession agreement with the Liberian Government to operate and modernize air cargo operations at the Roberts International Airport. GLS was established in late 2011 after several years working in numerous countries, including the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Nigeria. Peter Malcolm King has led GLS from a logistics startup to the leading indigenous logistics services provider with several business units, including warehousing & distribution, land transport, freight forwarding, aviation handling, and customs house brokerage. He has worked in Oil & Gas, Commodities trading, shipping, and project development. At Linetrale Petroleum Company, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, He was responsible for expanding the business operations into 3 West African countries (Liberia, Ghana & Cote d'Ivoire) and and as head of Business Development was a key member of the team that grew the company financial and operating performance from USD $67m turnover in 2007 to over USD $300M by 2010. GLS has grown rapidly since it started operations in 2012 and, over the past five years, has built strong brand recognition for efficient service delivery, customer-centricity, and solution-driven applications. It is regarded as the most innovative operator in the logistics space in the Mano River region. Mr. King and the team at GLS have raised over $25m for infrastructure development in Liberia, as evidenced by the Modern Roberts AirCargo Centre cargo-handling terminal at the Roberts International Airport near Monrovia and the Inland Storage & Distribution Facility (a joint venture with PIDG's InfraCo Africa). Mr. King Chairs several companies, including LISDIS Inc, GLS MENZIES, and also sits on the board of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL)
