Appointed by President Joseph N. Boakai Sr. in October 2025, Princess Eva Cooper serves as the inaugural Director General of the Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA). She has positioned the Authority as a unifying force, connecting government, the private sector, and local communities to generate employment, bolster small enterprises, and enhance Liberia's national identity. Her strategic focus involves driving policy reform and cultivating international partnerships to diversify Liberia's tourism sector and attract significant investment. Ms. Cooper brings over a decade of demonstrated leadership and a proven track record in architecting high-impact strategies that forge powerful alliances, amplify brand presence, and accelerate revenue growth. Her distinguished cross-sector career is built upon a strong academic foundation, including dual MBAs in Finance and Business Administration, a BSc in Banking & Finance, and a Diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy and International Relations. Her executive experience includes leadership roles at major Liberian institutions. At Guaranty Trust Bank (Liberia) Ltd, she oversaw Corporate, Digital, and Retail Banking divisions, achieving record growth in revenues and deposits. Subsequently, at Lonestar Cell MTN, she directed the Enterprise Business division, expanding digital inclusion by extending internet access to urban and rural communities and introducing fiber-to-home services to capture market and value share. Her expertise lies at the intersection of strategic business development and marketing, characterized by a sharp acumen for identifying market opportunities, crafting compelling value propositions, and executing integrated campaigns that deliver tangible results. She is recognized as an adaptable and transformational leader skilled in building and motivating high-performing cross-functional teams.
