About me
Isabelle Magne is an official at the European Commission, currently serving as Deputy Head of Unit within the Trade, Investment Climate, Entrepreneurship and Value Chains unit in DG International Parternships where she oversees critical raw materials. She became part of the Africa Directorate of DG INTPA in December 2019, following her role as a member of EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström’s Cabinet.
Isabelle’s career in public service spans several key roles, beginning in the French administration with a position in the Directorate-General for the Treasury in Paris and then internationally as the Deputy Head of the Economic Service at the French Embassy in Türkiye. She served also at the French Permanent Representation to the European Union before joining the European External Action Service (EEAS) within the Department of Global and Economic Issues. Then, Isabelle joined the European Commission.
She graduated from the Institute for Political Studies in Aix-En-Provence (France) and a master’s degree in economics.
