About me

Chantelle Abdul is the Group Managing Director (GMD)/GCEO of MOJEC Int'l Group & V Solaris Group; and a Board Member of MOFI (Ministry of Finance Inc), the largest Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) & Private Equity (PE) on the Continent. MOFI sits as both the Sovereign Wealth and Fund of Funds; warehousing all commercial interest and Investments of the Nigerian Government with a mandate to optimise Federal Government’s assets and investments across key sectors of the economy. Over the years, investments and impact spans a plethora of sectors from power infrastructure, clean energy transition, and national asset strategy. As GMD/GCEO of MOJEC Group, she leads a diversified dossier of Portfolio companies ranging from Manufacturing, transportation and energy, technology, and extractive industries. MOJEC Int'l, is one of Africa's largest investors in Power assets and energy infrastructure, having deployed over $200M in power investments over the years. Its portfolio includes: MOJEC Intl (MI), (Meter Manufacturing); M³AC (Meter Asset Services & financing), MSH & PSH (Metering Tech platforms) The Group also invest in Transportation, Renewal Plastics manufacturing, Technology, MOJEC Oil & Gas MOJEC Mining (solid minerals and resource development) Through this integrated structure, she has led the expansion of MOJEC’s market share from 20% to over 80% in Nigeria’s metering sector, securing all 11 electricity distribution companies as clients and deploying hundreds of thousands of smart meters nationwide. As GMD/CEO of Virtuitis Solaris (V.Solaris), she is driving next-generation energy solutions across Africa. The company’s portfolio includes: - VS Minigrid, which has deployed renewable-powered mini-grids across more than 30 communities in Nigeria - VS C&I (Commercial & Industrial) energy solutions for large-scale energy users - VS (SHS) & Residential for distributed energy access - Electric mobility infrastructure, including electric vehicles and EV charging networks, a key focus area aligned with global decarbonization and transport electrification efforts In her role as a Board Member of MOFI, she contributes to the oversight and optimization of Nigeria’s sovereign investment portfolio. MOFI serves as the government’s principal asset manager, warehousing investments across oil and gas, power, infrastructure, digital assets, and real estate, and plays a central role in shaping long-term national economic value. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President, Development at The Executive Group (Washington, DC), where she acquired and broadcast The Apprentice Africa across the US, UK, and Africa, and launched The Billionaire Executive Series. She began her career in finance at Solomon Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley. She graduated Cum Laude from The George Washington University in Washington DC and is currently pursuing Exec MBA at Harvard Business School.
