I am Senior Director for Africa at ANDRITZ HYDRO, with more than 45 years of experience in the hydropower industry. I hold a degree in Mechanical and Fluid Mechanic Engineering, which I earned through part-time evening studies while working full-time. I began my career as a turbine mechanic, installing turbines and generators in hydropower plants, before moving into hydraulic engineering as an assistant engineer in ANDRITZ HYDRO’s laboratory in Linz, Austria, where I supported the development of turbine hydraulics for global applications. Throughout my career, I have spent approximately 22 years on international assignments across Asia, Australia, the Americas, and Africa, gaining experience in project execution, commissioning, and cross-cultural leadership.Today, I lead ANDRITZ HYDRO’s activities in Africa, focusing on business development over our entire product portfolio - greenfield plants, grid solutions, service & rehab, etc.
