Mr. Soumahoro oversees a growing portfolio of complex infrastructure and climate finance transactions, mobilizing blended finance instruments and coordinating co-financing with European institutions and multilateral partners. He plays a central role in dialogue with sovereign and sub-sovereign entities, and represents the EIB in high-level engagements across the region, contributing to the alignment of investments with EU priorities, including the Global Gateway initiative.
Prior to joining the EIB, he served as Chief Investment Officer at AFINCAP Partners, where he led non-sovereign investment strategy, transaction structuring, and capital mobilization across sectors. He previously held the position of Program Manager at Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners, overseeing project preparation, donor coordination, and financing of high-impact private sector initiatives.
