FLORIAN SCHOTT is a German filmmaker living in Namibia since 2009. His Namibian Short Films EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON (2013) and BAXU AND THE GIANTS (2019) as well as Feature Film KATUTURA (2015) screened at various Film Festivals worldwide and won numerous international Awards. BAXU AND THE GIANTS became the first Namibian film on Netflix. Next to long running crime series for German television Florian also co-directed limited series TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN (2025) and two tv films for German thriller franchise DER DÄNEMARK KRIMI (2024 / 2026). Currently he is developing three African Feature Films as well as a Namibian limited series.
