My name is Chris JT Thimotheus, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Power Engineering in Windhoek, Namibia at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. My academic focus is on power systems, energy infrastructure, and the technical foundations required to support reliable and scalable electricity supply. In parallel with my studies, I am developing a strong interest in the operational and business dimensions of the energy sector, particularly in areas such as system reliability, infrastructure performance, and the coordination of technical projects. I am especially interested in how engineering, investment, and policy intersect to enable large-scale developments in renewable energy, industrial power systems, and emerging sectors such as green hydrogen. I am attending the EU-Namibia Business Forum to gain a deeper understanding of current and future collaboration between Namibia and the European Union, particularly in relation to energy transition, industrial development, and infrastructure investment. I am also seeking to engage with professionals, institutions, and companies active in these sectors in order to learn build meaningful connections and identify areas where I can contribute and develop further. Over the long term, I aim to position myself within the energy and infrastructure sector at the intersection of technical expertise and business execution, contributing to projects that improve system reliability, expand capacity, and support sustainable economic growth in Namibia and the wider region. I approach my work with a strong emphasis on discipline, continuous learning, and practical application, and I am motivated by opportunities that require both technical competence and strategic thinking.
