About me
Martijn has more than 25 years of experience in the development and management of energy related port and offshore projects. Martijn has a mechanical engineering background, majored in port logistics and has gained experience in all facets of oil & gas facilities: operations, shipping and development including design, financing, partnering, environmental procedures and stakeholder management. Main focus has been Oil & Gas related projects with a specific focus on LNG and recently on Hydrogen. After 10 years developing ports & terminals in South East Asia Martijn returned back to the Netherlands to project manage the the Port of Rotterdam’s Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project Porthos. Martijn then led the new International Hydrogen Supplychain program in the the Port of Rotterdam’s hydrogen team forging strategic alliances and building new supplychains from sun- and windrich countries to Rotterdam. Specifically focusing on common-user infrastructure development in Rotterdam and those exporting country. Martijn’s latest assignment is to lead a Namibian-Dutch project team to develop the business case for a hydrogen hub at Angra point in South West Namibia.
