I, founded and lead HySIM Namibia which is the hydrogen deployment execution company under the diversified Platonic Academy Namibia group. HySIM converts hydrogen ambition into deployed and revenue generating projects through site readiness, safety planning, deployment coordination and certified workforce training. I am also a beneficiary of the Youth for Green Hydrogen Scholarship Programme sponsored by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the Namibian Government. The advanced technical and industrial skills I acquired in Germany are now being applied through HySIM Namibia in its initial phase, fully sponsored and incubated by Platonic Academy Namibia. Our project has been shortlisted for inclusion in Namibia’s Sectoral Transformation Investment Plan under the Climate Investment Funds Industry Decarbonisation Programme which aims to mobilise up to USD 250 million for national industrial decarbonisation. Through this work we strengthen Namibia’s green industrialisation agenda and build the local capacity required for large scale hydrogen and industrial decarbonisation projects.
