For the EU, Mr. Geraedts worked on blended finance and guarantees, mobilising private capital for impact in emerging markets and developing economies, in partnership with European and multilateral development finance institutions. After 15 years in the private sector in infrastructure development in Europe and Asia, he joined the European Commission in 2004 to work in the EU Delegation in Ghana on transport and infrastructure until 2008. Mr Geraedts holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
