Dr. Andreas T. Salom is a distinguished investment banker, engineer, strategist, and research fellow with extensive expertise in the extractive industries, policy advisory, and academia. Holding an MBA, PhD, MSAIMM, and SME PM credentials, he combines technical excellence with strategic leadership to drive innovation and sustainable growth across global industries. Currently serving with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), he is responsible for promoting and developing Namibia’s mining sector through investment facilitation, strategic partnerships, and sustainable resource development initiatives that contribute to national economic growth. In addition to his leadership within the mining and investment sectors, Dr. Salom is also an academic and mentor dedicated to knowledge sharing and capacity building. He lectures at both the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) and the University of Namibia (UNAM), where he contributes to the development of future professionals in engineering, mining, strategy, and economic development.
