Jurie Wessels has 29 years’ experience in the exploration industry and has co‑founded several exploration and mining companies. These include Bauba Resources Ltd (delisted), which owns three operating chrome mines; GoldStone Resources Ltd (GRL.L), which operates the Homase‑Akrokerri Gold Mine in Ghana acquired and developed during Jurie’s tenure as CEO; Arcadia Minerals Ltd (AM7.ASX), owner of the Swanson Tantalum Mining Project in Namibia, discovered and developed while Jurie was leading the company; Kaoko Metals Ltd (ASX: KAO), which holds the Chalkos Copper Project in Namibia; and Vanadium Resources Ltd, which owns the Steelpoortdrift Vanadium Project and the V‑Iron Project in South Africa.Jurie has successfully explored and developed multiple mining projects through to completion and brings extensive experience in the sourcing, evaluation and development of exploration and mining opportunities, as well as in the governance, funding and management of resource companies. Exploration activities have covered a wide range of commodities across Africa, South America, the Indian subcontinent and Europe. Jurie practised as a minerals lawyer until 2003.
