Mr Jan Bloemendal, International relations officer, at the European Commission in the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE Mr Jan is a veterinarian by study. Since 2012 he has worked as a International relations officer, at the European Commission in the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) in the Unit for Bilateral international relations. He is the SPS desk for Namibia and for a number of other countries around the world. Before his appointment in Brussels he worked in the Dutch administration on issues related to food safety and animal health and at EFSA, the EU food safety authority.
