Bert Floryn is an expert in rules of origin within the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Trade (DG TRADE). With over 15 years of experience in international trade and customs, he has developed deep expertise across both the public and private sectors focusing on the legal and technical aspects of global trade, with a particular focus on rules of origin. Within the European Commission, he served in both DG TAXUD and DG TRADE, contributing to policy development and implementation in the area of customs and trade regulation. He currently co-leads negotiations on rules of origin with several prospective free trade partner countries.
