Indico Fish Farm is a Mozambican aquaculture company dedicated to the sustainable production and processing of Nile tilapia. Established to address the growing demand for quality fish, the company contributes to food security, job creation, and the development of a more resilient local fish value chain.
Founded by Adelia Nicole Tique Massangaie, a marine biologist and entrepreneur, Indico Fish Farm combines scientific knowledge, innovation, and sustainable aquaculture practices to produce high-quality fish while minimizing environmental impact.
The company is committed to increasing local fish production, reducing dependence on imported fish, and creating economic opportunities for communities, particularly women and young people. Beyond fish production, Indico Fish Farm is developing value-added processing solutions and exploring the utilization of fish by-products to promote a circular economy and reduce waste.
Indico Fish Farm gained national recognition when its business plan for Nile tilapia production and processing won the Agora Emprega 2023 program in Maputo Province. Today, the company continues to build strategic partnerships and expand its operations to become a leading contributor to Mozambique’s sustainable aquaculture sector.
