EU-Zambia Lobito Corridor Business Forum - November 2025

The EU–Zambia Lobito Corridor Business Forum took place in Lusaka from 12–14 November 2025, under the framework of the EU Business Fora series. Co-organised by the European Union and Zambian stakeholders, the Forum focused on advancing investment and private sector engagement along the strategic Lobito Corridor, a key regional infrastructure project supported under the EU’s Global Gateway strategy. Bringing together government representatives, financial institutions, development partners, and private sector leaders, the three-day event provided a platform to strengthen economic cooperation and unlock sustainable investment opportunities. Discussions centred on three priority sectors — energy, agriculture, and critical raw materials — alongside cross-cutting themes such as environmental sustainability, urban development, and ESG standards. Through high-level dialogue and structured business-to-business and business-to-government matchmaking sessions, the Forum aimed to catalyse financing, promote policy alignment, and support pipeline development along the Corridor. The event reaffirmed the shared ambition of the EU and Zambia to enhance trade connectivity, mobilise private capital, and drive inclusive, long-term economic growth.
