Liberia-EU Business Forum - February 2026
2026
Information
The Liberia–EU Business Forum took place in Brussels on 24–25 February 2026, under the theme “The ARTS in the ARREST – Invest in Liberia 2026.” Co-organised by the Government of Liberia and the European Union, the Forum aimed to strengthen economic cooperation, mobilise sustainable investment, and showcase Liberia’s development potential to European partners.
Bringing together policymakers, business leaders, financial institutions, investors, and members of the Liberian diaspora, the two-day event provided a platform for high-level dialogue, sector-focused discussions, and structured networking. Central to the Forum was Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development, a five-year strategy designed to drive inclusive growth and support the country’s transition towards middle-income status.
Priority sectors highlighted during the Forum included agriculture, roads and infrastructure, trade, tourism, sanitation, education, and rule of law, each presenting concrete opportunities for foreign direct investment and public–private partnerships. Through plenary sessions, investment showcases, and business-to-business engagements, the Forum sought to translate dialogue into tangible partnerships and long-term economic impact, reinforcing EU–Liberia trade and investment ties.
