Project Pitch

Kilunga is an Angolan agritech company transforming smallholder farming through satellite intelligence and AI-powered precision agriculture. Across Africa, farmers produce significantly below global averages due to limited access to data, modern inputs, and extension services. Kilunga addresses this gap by providing real-time crop monitoring using satellite imagery, vegetation indices, and predictive analytics.

The platform enables farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural institutions to detect crop stress early, optimise fertiliser and water usage, prevent pest outbreaks, and reduce input waste. By converting raw geospatial data into actionable insights, Kilunga empowers farmers to make faster and more profitable decisions.

The company operates through a subscription-based SaaS model offering affordable plans for small, medium, and large producers. Early pilot programs covering 3,000 hectares demonstrated strong farmer adoption and measurable efficiency gains. With Angola’s 35 million hectares of arable land—of which only about 16% is currently cultivated—Kilunga has significant growth potential. Its cloud-based architecture enables scalable expansion across Sub-Saharan Africa without heavy infrastructure requirements.

Kilunga’s mission is to make African agriculture data-driven, sustainable, and profitable, positioning the company as a future leader in precision agriculture technologies across the continent.
