Benguela Blue Aquafarming has secured an aquaculture licence to produce up to 35,000 tons of Atlantic salmon and/or rainbow trout offshore near Lüderitz. The company has acquired a well-located property to support hatchery, processing, storage, and administrative operations.
A detailed feasibility study conducted by a reputable Norwegian aquaculture consultancy has confirmed both the technical suitability of the location and the strong commercial potential of the project.
The company is currently raising capital for an initial pilot phase targeting approximately 600 tons of production. This phase will serve to validate operations and optimise the model before scaling up to full commercial capacity.
