Megamillion is championing the localization of the battery value chain in Africa. Megamillion Zambia Ltd is a local Zambian entity that is planning to establish a large-scale copper foil plant in Zambia for the lithium-ion battery value chain.
Team
Nechan (Group CEO) has over 25 years’ experience in business and local product development. He is the founder and Group CEO of Megamillion, and is championing the localization of the entire Lithium-ion battery value-chain on African soil. Nechan is a member of an AUDA-NEPAD special committee on “Next-generation Batteries for Africa” and a member of the BRICS Business Council Manufacturing Working Group. He is a global speaker and strong proponent of localization in Africa. Desmond Maharaj (COO) was previously CEO of Dangote Zambia.

Megamillion Zambia Copper Foil. The Megamillion group of companies is pioneering the entire lithium-ion battery value chain in Africa. We are committed to utilising Africa’s rich mineral resources for Africa’s benefit first, with the aim of creating sustainable growth and decent job creation in every African country in which we operate. Megamillion Zambia is planning to establish a 50,000 ton battery-grade copper-foil plant in Zambia with a mission to establish Zambia as a global top-10 copper foil producer. The project is at pre-feasibility stage.
