A manufacturer of solid wood products such as Teak, Rosewood, and Mukwa, the company has a factory in Makeni and a showroom in the Showgrounds of Lusaka, Zambia. We are a small business based in Lusaka, Zambia run as an independent, family business specialising in fine carpentry. Run by a woman with a strong desire to elevate classic techniques to modern aesthetics.

Founded in 2018, Mupapa Wood is a Zambian business that is dedicated to the art and craft of fine carpentry. As manufactures of solid wood such as Teak, Rosewood and Mukwa, we approach every project as a unique opportunity to elevate classic woodworking techniques to modern aesthetics as most of our products are made to order.

Project Pitch

Mupapa Wood has a number of objectives and goals we hope to tackle and achieve with additional investment.

These objectives are:

1. Construction of a new factory – With already acquired land, Mupapa Wood hopes to construct its own factory in Buckley, located near Linda on the south side of Lusaka, Zambia. This is expected to start in the next 1 to 2 years. This Factory will be designed to allow the company to truly customize the working areas in order to create a more efficient and modern work environment for employees and management.

2. New Workshop Equipment –The additional investment and new machinery, we would then be able to provide the required equipment for the craftsmen within the factory and help them improve their rate of production.

3. New Vehicles – With the additional investment, we hope to purchase a new truck to improve delivery times on our larger items, as well as give us more flexibility when strategizing logistics. Mupapa hopes to also purchase a new office vehicle in order to allow management and supervisors more flexibility when visiting existing and potential clients.

4. Marketing – Mupapa Wood would like to increase its domestic and international marketing budget.

5. Corporate Social Responsibility – As Mupapa Wood expands and grows as a company, we understand that with the increase in production, our demand for raw timber will then increase. With some additional investment, we would like to set up a project that will help us give back to the environment. This would be in the form of linking with different charities and tree planting schemes.
