Project Pitch

Mechanization for Accelerated Agricultural and Nutritional Advancement (MAANA) - Growmore Technologies Limited is seeking €3 million to implement a 2-year agricultural mechanization project targeting women and youth in rural areas.

The funding includes €2 million as interest-free capital that will trickle down to farmers. Farmers can acquire equipment on credit by paying 50% upfront and the balance over 1–2 years.

The remaining €1 million will be used as a grant to support operations, training, and community engagement.

A 6-month no-cost extension is planned for project consolidation and sustainability planning.

The company’s model is based on Mechanization-as-a-Service (MaaS), enabling farmers to access tractors and equipment through affordable, pay-per-use systems.

Growmore will establish additional branches to accommodate more youth and women, providing easy access to equipment, employment opportunities, and skills training in machinery operation, maintenance, and service delivery.

  • In Year 1, the project will pilot with a small group of farmers and build capacity.
  • In Year 2, it will scale to reach over 2,000 farmers across multiple regions.

The revolving fund ensures sustainability, as repayments allow continued service delivery beyond the initial investment.

Key outcomes include:

  • Improved farm productivity
  • Reduced labor burden (especially for women)
  • Over 100 new jobs created in the mechanization value chain
  • Increased household income
  • This project directly addresses critical gaps in rural agriculture while promoting gender equity and youth empowerment.
