Project Pitch

Saro Agro Industrial Limited supplies equipment and services to a wide range of stakeholders — from smallholder and commercial farms to agro-based processors and utilities.

The company also provides aftersales support, maintenance services, training, and spare parts.

With 14 regional offices and 400 employees, Saro has supplied products to over 1,900 commercial farms and 13,000 smallholder farms across Zambia.

Approximately 40% of turnover comes from locally manufactured or assembled products, many of which are climate-smart technologies co-developed with the Conservation Farming Unit (CFU).

Product portfolio includes:

  • Land preparation equipment (tractors, rippers, harrow discs, planters, sprayers)
  • Irrigation technology (solar water pumps, drip irrigation, sprinkler systems)
  • Harvesting and post-processing machines (harvesters, threshers, shellers, hammer mills, rice mills)
  • Livestock equipment (chaff cutters, feed mixers, milking machines, egg incubators)

Saro continues to innovate and expand to meet the growing demand for efficient, sustainable agricultural solutions across Zambia.
