Welcome message by EU Ambassador and Special Assistant to the PresidentWe are excited to welcome you to the EU-Zambia Lobito Corridor Business Forum — a landmark gathering that will bring together leaders from government, business, finance, and development to unlock the full potential of one of Africa’s most strategic economic corridors.The Lobito Corridor stands at the heart of our shared ambition to drive sustainable, inclusive growth. Linking Zambia’s rich agricultural lands, critical raw materials, and energy potential to regional and global markets, it offers unprecedented opportunities for trade, investment, and innovation, while creating decent and local jobs and local added value.This Forum is designed as a platform that will forge concrete business partnerships, mobilising capital, and aligning policies that will accelerate the corridor’s development for the benefit of our people.Over three days, more than 450 participants will engage in high-level discussions, sector-focused sessions, and targeted business matchmaking. Together, we will explore opportunities in three priority areas — energy, agriculture, and the production and manufacturing of critical raw materials — while also addressing cross-cutting issues such as urban development, environmental sustainability, and ESG best practices.We invite all participants to seize this moment — to connect, collaborate, and shape the investments and partnerships that will define the Lobito Corridor’s future.
