André Jorge is the Managing Director of Siemens Energy S.A., Angola, a role he assumed in January 2023. He began his career with the Siemens group in Portugal in 2009, supporting Sales and Business Development for Energy Transmission and Distribution. André holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Nova School of Science and Technology in Lisbon, where he also served as an assistant teacher for three years. André’s passion for Africa led him to continue his professional journey with Siemens in Angola, in 2011, where he has held various roles within Project Management, Business Development, and Sales. Prior to his current role, he served as the Branch Manager of Siemens SA for three years, actively contributing to Angola's development in essential areas of industry, infrastructure, and energy, with a special focus on the country's sustainability roadmap, energy transition, and digital transformation. His vision for Siemens Energy in Angola is deeply rooted in the company's legacy. He is committed to actively contributing to sustainable access to energy, decarbonization, digital transformation, and the country's energy transition plans, with a strong focus on creating a direct societal impact through technology. He also places great importance on attracting and retaining talent to build a robust, diverse, and empowered teams.
