My name is Alexander Chileshe an Urban Development Expert who has been working for International Organizations in Urban Development and Planning for over 25 years. I am currently working for the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), as Head of Office for Zimbabwe and Zambia. I have been with UN-Habitat for over 15 years, mainly working in Southern and West Africa, including Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa and the SAHEL Region. During this period, I have been providing technical support in policy and programme development to the various governments in Housing, urban and spatial planning, disaster risk reduction and adaptation and innovations in the circular economy. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the Copperbelt University in Kitwe Zambia, a Master of Arts Degree in Urban Management and Development from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) at Erasmus University in Rotterdam in the Netherlands and a Master of Philosophy Degree in Development Policy and Practice from the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance at the University of Cape Town. I am currently a PhD Candidate the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance at the University of Cape Town
