This session will provide a platform to critically reflect on the Sustainable Urban Development along the Lobito Corridor and to identify pathways for sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient urban growth. The session will focus on:
- Strategic vision for sustainable Urban Development along the Lobito Corridor for the next 5–10 years
- Primary challenges arising from increased economic activity and migration, and how is the Lobito Corridor might reshape the urban landscape
- Investment Opportunities in the human settlement environment – Investment Long List
- District/area profiles for all significant human settlements along the corridor
- How can the private sector contribute to addressing these challenges, and where do investment opportunities lie in the human settlement landscape?
- Future development scenarios be integrated into IDPs, and what role will the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) play in guiding urban planning?
