A graduate in Urban and Regional Planning (BSc); Professional Training in Municipal Solid Waste Management. And International Post Graduate training in Urban Environmental Management from Sweden and the United states. A Fellow and former President of the Zambia Institute of Planners (FZIP)
Worked in various Local Authorities in various portfolios from Senior Building Inspector through Town Planner rising to Director of City Planning for the City of Lusaka, Kabwe Municipality and Choma Municipality. Worked as Lusaka City’s first Environment Manager to head the Waste Management Unit (WMU) doubling as Counterpart Project Manager for the Lusaka Waste Management Project.
Was Urban Planner and Urban Environmental Management Specialist on the Technical Working group on the “The Study on Comprehensive Urban Development Plan for the City of Lusaka.
City Profiler for Lusaka in the UN Habitat Publication “Solid Waste in the World’s Cities”- the third in the UN-Habitat’s “In the World Cities” series. Currently a member of the Technical Working Group in the African-European Union Pilot Project “ Building A Joint African-European Research & Innovation Agenda on Waste Management - 2014-2020” which aims to identify key research and development issues for waste management leading to a reduction in the environmental impact and promotion of the recycling and recovery of raw materials.
Joined for Kalumbila Town Development Corporation (KTDC) 2015 as Town Services Coordinator rising to the position of Town Services Superintendent and currently Manager for KTDC. KTDC is developing a green field new town in Kalumbila District supported by First Quantum Minerals Limited.
