Shadreck Mungalaba holds a prominent position within Zambia's Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, where he has served in leadership roles related to the development of the livestock fisheries sectors. He is currently Director of Fisheries and Livestock Marketing. He has also been Acting Permanent Secretary on occasion, Mr Mungalaba was also Director of Cooperatives for Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. Mr. Mungalaba is on the Board of the Food Reserve Agency (FRA).
