Agriculture Track: Transforming Zambia’s Agriculture for Investment and Sustainable Growth
Information
The Zambia’s agricultural sector is undergoing a strategic transformation, led by government efforts to position it as a key driver of economic growth, food security, and sustainability. Over the past decade, the sector has evolved from traditional farming toward a more diversified, value chain–focused model, increasingly attracting private investment.
This session will examine the role of policy in enabling this shift, the sector’s investment potential, and the main barriers to growth. It will also explore how stronger collaboration between the private sector, government, and development partners can drive the transition to more productive, market-oriented, and climate-resilient agriculture.
