CRM Track: Optimizing mining operations – innovative technologies for mining services and tailings treatment – circular economy

The first part of the session will highlight ongoing operations and expansion plans of large-scale mining operators in Zambia. Specific focus will be on the role of innovative technology for increased production levels, efficiency and compliance with standards in the Zambian mining sector. Zambian mining operators and European mining service providers will discuss recent innovations and future demand for new technologies.

The second part will focus on innovative technical solutions for circular economy and increased compliance with ESG standards. A researcher from Copperbelt University as well as European and Zambian Small and Medium Enterprises will present innovative technologies, supporting supply chain traceability, increased efficiency and health and safety  as well as environmental standards. Specific focus will be on circular economy concepts for the mining sector.
