Project Pitch
STEVIALIFE SWEETENERS LTD is a Rwanda-based agribusiness scaling the production and export of dried stevia leaves, a natural zero-calorie sweetener serving growing global demand for healthier food ingredients. The project combines nucleus farm production with an outgrower model across Rwanda’s favorable agroecological zones, creating both commercial value and inclusive farmer participation. SLS already works with international buyers and is positioning itself to become a leading African supplier of stevia and complementary botanical crops.
Its business model is built on large-scale stevia cultivation, post-harvest drying and export, supported by long-term market linkages, crop diversification, and technical support to partner growers. Revenue comes primarily from dried stevia leaf exports, with additional value from rosemary, chili, marigold, and rotation crops that strengthen sustainability and farm resilience.
Operationally, SLS manages the full chain from propagation and nursery development to field production, irrigation, harvesting, drying, packaging, storage, and export logistics. The company uses agronomic supervision, traceability systems, and digital farm monitoring to maintain quality, efficiency, and compliance with export standards. This integrated approach supports scalable growth, reliable supply, and strong long-term impact.
