Waste Power Plant Limited (WPP), is a Rwandan company which recovers energy from municipal solid waste, which is in the process of establishing a waste-to-power plant at Kavumu village, Musanze district, Northern Province that will generate 15 MW by incinerating a minimum of 500 tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) per day. The power to be generated shall be fed into the national grid via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Rwanda Energy Group (REG), the authorized electricity seller in Rwanda. The project will solve the problems of the municipal solid waste and contribute to sustainable energy generation, clean cities, and unemployment issue and economy growth.

Kavumu waste power plant is a waste to power and an authorized independent power producer in Rwanda that was initiated by Waste Power plant limited.
Waste Power Plant Limited (WPP), is a Rwandan company which recovers energy from municipal solid waste, which is in the process of establishing a waste-to-power plant at Kavumu village, Musanze district, Northern Province that will generate 15 MW by incinerating 400 tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) per day. The power to be generated shall be fed into the national grid via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Rwanda Energy Group (REG), the authorized electricity seller in Rwanda. The project will solve the problems of the municipal solid waste and contribute to sustainable energy generation, clean cities, and unemployment issue and economy growth. Using the incineration technology, the plant will generate 15 MW with a total implementation cost of 80,064,493.23 (eighty million sixty four thousand four hundred ninety three point twenty three two United State dollar) for a period of 25 years at a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of ≥ $ 12 cents per KWh with an investment recovery period of 8 years.
To achieve this very useful environmental and fruitful project, WPP requires an investor for the establishment of the Kavumu waste Power Plant, it is why the Company is extending its doors to Investors like you to a mutually profitable relationship and solutions. The funds that the Company would raise due to this initiative shall be used to fund the Kavumu Waste Power Plant implementation.
